Misty coffee-estate hills at sunrise in Sakleshpur, Karnataka

Life Beyond Weekends — Work. Explore. Connect.

Life beyond the weekend.

Work remotely from beautiful, quiet corners of nature. Spend your days near forests and coffee estates instead of a screen and four walls, and your evenings with people who get why that matters.

What is Life Beyond Weekends?

We don’t think life should wait for Saturday.

Most people spend five days getting through the week and two days trying to live it. Life Beyond Weekends is a community for remote workers who’d rather not split their life in half.

We run week-long stays in beautiful, unhurried places — starting with a coffee-growing hill town in Karnataka — where you can work properly, move your body, explore somewhere real, and end each day around people who are building lives they don’t need a weekend to escape from.

Why join us

Five reasons people come, and stay in touch long after.

Work from nature

Fast wifi, real desks, and a view that isn’t a cubicle wall. Your job travels with you, not the other way around.

Meet like-minded people

Twelve to eighteen remote workers, founders, and creators sharing a week — not small talk, actual conversation.

Explore beyond the usual spots

We skip the postcard viewpoints and the tour buses. Local trails, family-run farms, back roads only residents know.

Stay active

Morning runs, hikes, badminton at dusk. Movement built into the day, not squeezed in before a flight.

Slow down and recharge

No itinerary panic. Long evenings, quiet mornings, and permission to close the laptop when the work is done.

Foggy green hills of Sakleshpur, Karnataka

First community stay

Sakleshpur, Karnataka

Our first community stay

Coffee estates, cool air, and almost no one else around.

Four hours from Bengaluru, Sakleshpur sits in the Western Ghats among coffee and cardamom estates, waterfalls, and old trekking trails. It’s well known to trekkers, barely known to anyone else — which is exactly why we started here.

Our base has reliable power backup and broadband built for video calls, a shared workspace, and a kitchen turning out home-style meals. Everything else is a short walk or drive away: Manjarabad Fort, Bisle viewpoint, and estate trails most visitors never find.

What a week looks like

Structured enough to get work done. Loose enough to actually live.

Early

Morning walks & hikes

Trails through coffee estates and sholas before the day gets warm.

Mid-day

Focused work hours

Quiet co-working blocks with real desks, backup power, and stable wifi.

Afternoon

Nature exploration

Waterfalls, viewpoints, and estate walks led by people who grew up here.

Afternoon

Fitness & outdoor activity

Group runs, yoga on the lawn, or a pickup game — whatever the week calls for.

Evening

Community time

Shared dinners, board games, and the kind of talk that doesn’t happen over Slack.

Weekend

Bonfire & exploration

A bonfire most nights, and a full weekend to wander further out together.

People who love nature and real conversation

You don’t need a specific job title to belong here — you need a laptop, a reason to slow down, and enough curiosity to talk to strangers over dinner.

Community guidelines

A few ground rules that keep the group easy to be around.

Respect everyone

Different backgrounds, different working styles — basic decency covers the rest.

No alcohol

This is a substance-free space, by design, for the whole stay.

Respect quiet hours

Shared houses, shared mornings. Keep it down after 11pm.

Leave no trace

We’re guests of the land and the local community. Nothing gets left behind.

Come to connect

Not just to tick off tourist spots. If that’s the goal, this isn’t the trip.

FAQ

Questions people ask before they apply

Do I need to take the whole week off work?+

No. The days are built around focused work blocks with good wifi and backup power, so most members keep working through the week. Mornings and evenings are yours to explore.

What’s included in the stay?+

Accommodation, meals, local transport for planned activities, workspace access, and all community programming — hikes, dinners, the bonfire nights. Flights or trains to Sakleshpur aren’t included.

How many people join each stay?+

We keep it small — usually 12 to 18 people. Small enough that you actually get to know everyone, large enough that the group has its own energy.

Is this suitable if I’m coming alone?+

Most people do. The whole point of Life Beyond Weekends is arriving as a stranger and leaving with people you’d actually stay in touch with.

What’s the internet like in Sakleshpur?+

We’ve tested it ourselves. The workspace runs on a dedicated broadband connection with a power backup, so calls and deep work are reliable.

How do I apply?+

Fill out the short application below. We read every one personally and get back within a few days — it helps us keep the group mix right.
